Wikipedia says Eyvind Earle (April 26, 1916 – July 20, 2000) was an American artist, author and illustrator, noted for his contribution to the background illustration and styling of Disney animated films in the 1950s.

His official site has numerous galleries for perusal. I especially recommend the Serigraph section – you’ll notice in images such as the one above a measured style recalling Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, for which he was responsible [cite] for styling, backgrounds and color.
