We discovered that his room was turning ice cold when his roommates horrid girlfriend kept turning the thermostat to first 72 then 68. (When 78 and above and usually more than sufficient in his small apartment.) I know the weather has been in the upper 90's here in Reno, but I think roomie's girl might have the extra 19 layers of flab to blame for the discomfort.
