What am I working on?
I’ve picked up some tiny white pumpkins with which I will have my way.
I want to do something nice, I’ll probably try Martha Stewart’s Lacework Pumpkin (previous mention). I am interested in making something that can last. So I’m counting on the fact that they are small to help it (whatever the final result) to hold it’s structure. The only time I’ve seen some scientific method applied to preserving Jack-O-Lanterns, the results were not heartening (see myscienceproject.org). Of course, if I feel like a long-term commitment, I could freeze-dry my art.
I’m also working on part 2 of my pirate cannon instructable and the soon-to-come ship’s helm project. I hope by the new week, to turn this indiscriminate heap of foam into 2 amazing Halloween props:

You know, now that you’ve made it beyond obvious your obsession with all things Disney, I just though it’d be cool to brag about my cousin who does a lot of foley and sound editing for films and he actually worked for Disney for while. I remember he actaully once gave me a genie sweatshirt given to him by the director of Aladdin *that movie was on the Disney channel last night, made me very giddy btw.* Of course, my cousin was into a lot of heroin back then, too…

You know, I really don’t see why not, but once you have a nice gourd you have to pick a fun design! I just did my first one today just a _- º -_- º -_ wavy design. I’m ways to help give the final product some staying power.

I have a lot of other gourds (ornamental). A lady gave me an idea to hollow them out and make a strand of hanging lights out of them. Her son did it and she said they turned out real well. I grew bird house gourds again this year and gave them to a friend so she could make crafts out of them. I also have a few books about gourd crafts. It i amazing to see how people use to use them for all kinds of tools and stuff. Love ya!
